On Wednesday, May 6 (6:00 p.m.) at the Ridotto of the Teatro del Popolo, there will be a screening of the short film produced by AVIS in collaboration with students and teachers from the \u201cBacci-Ridolfi\u201d school<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A one-of-a-kind educational initiative that harnesses students\u2019 creativity to support a major social awareness campaign: the decision to donate blood. A noble and compassionate act that can help save lives. This is the goal of the short film \u201cCitt\u00e0 dei cuori a manovella,\u201d created by students from classes 1C and 1F at the \u201cBacci-Ridolfi\u201d middle school, which will be presented at the Ridotto of the Teatro del Popolo on Wednesday, May 6 (6:00 p.m.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening, which marks the concluding event of the \u201cCartoon School\u201d project (4th edition) promoted and funded by AVIS Castelfiorentino in collaboration with AVIS Toscana, will feature remarks by Mayor Francesca Giann\u00ec, Claudia Firenze (President of AVIS Toscana), Silvia Zannelli (President of AVIS Castelfiorentino), the principal of the Comprehensive School, Salvatore Picerno, and the Councilor for Education, Marta Longaresi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mirko Fabbreschi, a musician, teacher, and creator of the \u201cCartoon School\u201d project\u2014carried out in collaboration with the Koete Cultural Association, an organization that has been dedicated for several years to conveying messages of ethical and social value\u2014will also be present to discuss the content and techniques used in the short film<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the evening, the video \u201cBack Stage\u201d will be screened, an engaging account of the work carried out by the students and teachers, followed by the full screening of the animated film.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI have followed this project since its first edition as Councilor,\u201d notes Mayor Francesca Giann\u00ec, \u201crecognizing its enormous potential. Cartoon School is, in fact, an educational program that not only stimulates creativity and fosters new skills but also engages young people and students in a campaign of significant social and health value. My thanks therefore go to the students, teachers, and school staff for bringing this project to fruition, and to AVIS Castelfiorentino for supporting it, reaffirming once again its fundamental role in serving the entire community of Castelfiorentino.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAvis Castelfiorentino has been supporting the Cartoon School project in local schools for years,\u201d emphasizes Silvia Zannelli, President of Avis Castelfiorentino, \u201cfirmly believing in the potential of animation to introduce younger generations to the values of solidarity and donation. \u201cThis event,\u201d Zannelli adds, \u201cmarks the start of celebrations for the 80th anniversary of Avis Castelfiorentino\u2019s founding\u2014an important milestone in our presence in the community and our efforts to encourage more and more people to donate blood and plasma.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe success of the animated film \u2018Citt\u00e0 dei Cuori a Manovella\u2019,\u201d notes the school principal, Salvatore Picerno, \u201cis the result of great teamwork: the students were guided by teachers from all subjects on the Class Councils, transforming the workshop into a comprehensive and interdisciplinary educational experience. I would therefore like to thank AVIS Castelfiorentino for this project and for its constant support of the values of creativity and giving.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
