About 30 participants are expected on Sunday, October 4 (Piazzale Via Newton, Malacoda industrial area) for the 4th stage, which counts toward the Tuscan championship.
Vespa—what a passion! The Regional Gymkhana Championship simply had to make a stop in Castelfiorentino, where the legendary “two-wheeler”—a symbol of freedom for entire generations—has been rediscovered for several years now by numerous enthusiasts, who have also founded a “Vespa Club” in Castelfiorentino with no fewer than 200 members.
And so, on Sunday, October 4, in the square on Via Newton (Malacoda industrial area), the 4th round of the Tuscan Regional Gymkhana Championship will take place, putting the riding skills of the approximately 30 participants expected for this event to the test.
The meet-up is at 8:30 a.m. (Via Newton square), where registration will be open and breakfast will be served. At 9:30 a.m., there will be a race briefing, and at 10:00 a.m., the trials will begin. Lunch will be served after the race.
Of course, in addition to admiring the Vespa riders’ maneuvers, the public will have the opportunity to explore the various models that have appeared over the decades and have accompanied the carefree moments of several generations.
“We are pleased to host this competition in our area,” emphasizes Franco Spina, Councilor for Tourism and Events, “which is sure to spark curiosity and amazement as spectators follow the participants’ various runs. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the president of the Castello Vespa Club, Alessandro Dimasi, who, together with the entire board of the association, has put in a tremendous amount of organizational effort.” “to organize this event, which brings a breath of joy to Castelfiorentino.”
