Summer Arena, next week’s events


In the gardens of Via XX Settembre Cinema, Theater and Tombola “under the stars” with stores open on Wednesday night.

Theater, Cinema, Open Shops and Tombola “by night.” Events continue at the Summer Arena and in the historic center of Castelfiorentino, which starting next week will already begin on Monday evenings with the “Theater outside the Theater” theater show promoted by the People’s Theater Foundation

Kicking off with a bang, then, on Monday, July 11 (9:45 p.m.) with the “Alphabet of Emotions” by and with Stefano Massini, a writer beloved for his short stories who will take viewers on a profound yet ironic journey. Pulling the letters of the alphabet out of a trunk, he will drag the audience into a succession of irresistible stories and examples, sliding faces, portraits, names, situations to bring to the stage the fragility of human beings, painted with the flair and fun of a passionate storyteller.

On Tuesday, July 12 (9:30 p.m.), great outdoor cinema returns with “Freaks Out,” the story of four friends (Matilde, Cencio, Fulvio and Mario) who work in a Circus run by Israel. A story set in Rome in 1943, occupied by the Germans during World War II, a place from which they will try to escape.

On Wednesday, July 13, the after-dinner opening of the stores as part of “Castello Summer,” preceded by aperitifs and music with DJ sets and themed dinners in the main clubs and restaurants in the center, while on Thursday, July 14, there will be “tombola,” an unmissable event for all fans.

Saturday, July 16 (9:30 p.m.) a new film offering: “A Hero,” a film directed by Asghar Farhadi, which traces the story of Rahim (Amir Jadidi) in prison because of a debt he was unable to pay. When he is granted a two-day leave of absence, the man tries to convince the creditor who accused him to drop the complaint, giving him in return a share of the amount he owes. But things do not go as Rahim had planned.
