The film “The Holdovers – Lessons of Life” tells the story of Paul Hunham, a history professor at a college in New England.
Rigid and demanding, he hates the mediocre students, children of rich benefactors who wait for their diploma without effort. On the eve of the Christmas holidays he is in charge of
watching over and supervising the children who have nowhere to go. Among them, in height and spirit, stands out Angus Tully, brilliant student and problematic “forgotten” by his mother.
Stubborn and otherwise inadequate to the
world, Paul and Angus are forced to socialize under the patient gaze of Mary Lamb, a school cook who lost her only son in Vietnam. But isolation and Christmas will close the gap and force them to “break the lines” and “get in line”.
From Friday 14 June to Sunday 15 September is active “Cinema Revolution”, with shows at a single cost of 3,5€.
Online presale available.
Place: Cinema Mario Monicelli, Piazza Gramsci.
Saturday 17 august at 9:30 p.m.

“Caracas” tells the story of Giordano Fonte, a Neapolitan writer who has returned to Naples after several years away. The man wanders around a city that engulfs him and terrifies him, but at the same time fascinates him. With him is
Caracas, a man close to conversion to Islam. With his verses, Giordano sings of an impossible love, the love between Caracas and Yasmina, as he enters a city where everyone hopes never to get lost or to find the right alley to save
themselves.
From Friday 14 June to Sunday 15 September is “Cinema Revolution”, with shows at a one-off cost of €3,5.
Online presale available.
Place: Cinema Mario Monicelli, Piazza Gramsci.
