An afternoon entirely dedicated to the most eagerly awaited grandmother of the Christmas holidays, the Befana!

From 3:30 p.m., the distribution of stockings with sweets will begin at the prepared stand (a small contribution is appreciated), and from 4:00 p.m. it will be possible to spot the queen of the day, the Befana, roaming the streets.

So much so that she has already prepared a capestro contract for Dino Doni to sign, a musical artist from the past who has always doted on her and who is now seeking redemption by unknowingly taking on all the debts.

Oliva Denaro
Ambra Angiolini brings to the stage the vicissitudes of Oliva Denaro, in the story of emancipation that accompanies both her and her family as they free themselves from the stereotypes and unwritten laws that over time become conventions. At the centre of the performance is her choice not to submit to the archaic laws of her time by accepting a tormentor as a life companion.
Freely inspired by the real story of Franca Viola who, in the 1960s, chose to say no to the reparatory marriage after suffering violence.

Mario Monicelli Cinema
“Diamanti” bears the signature of director Ferzan Ozpetek.
A director summons his favourite actresses, those he has worked with and those he has loved. He wants to make a film about women but doesn’t reveal much: he observes them, takes his cue, gets inspired, until his imagination catapults them into another era, into a past where the noise of sewing machines fills a workplace run and populated by women, where men have small marginal roles and cinema can be told from another point of view: that of costume.
Sunday 12 early show at 5:30 p.m.
Pre-sale available.
Place: Cinema Mario Monicelli, Piazza Gramsci.

Sunday 12 January at 5:00 p.m.
Fairytale of the South Seas
The afternoon appointments of “Su il sipario!”, an event dedicated to children, are resumed. ln one of the thousands of islands scattered in the immensity of the great Pacific Ocean, like every day, children play on the seashore. Vavau, one of them, is stung by the poisonous rockfish and medicine is needed as soon as possible to cure him. The remedy can only be found on a mysterious island, just beyond the horizon. Heedless of the dangers to be faced, his sister Sina sets off with the turtle Tarawa for the island.
Show realised with the puppet technique. Recommended for ages 3 and up.
Online presale available.
Place: Teatro del Popolo, Piazza Gramsci.
