“Emilia Perez”, a film directed by Jacques Audiard, is set in present-day Mexico, where lawyer Rita lives and practices. One day the lawyer receives a completely unexpected offer: to help a feared local boss, linked to the Mexican cartel, to retire from his shady business and disappear forever. The man wants to undergo gender reassignment surgery and thus become the woman he has always wanted to be. In this way he will not only evade the authorities, but will finally be able to live his life with the gender he has always felt he belonged to.

Father and son will confront each other on stage on the hot topic of adolescence, naturally from the point of view of the father, who sees his son change, and from that of the son, who lives it on his own skin.

“A Complete Unknown”, the film directed by James Mangold, is set in 1960s New York where a 19-year-old musician from Minnesota, Bob Dylan, is establishing himself as a folk singer. We follow his performances in the concert halls of the Big Apple and witness his meteoric rise to the top of the charts. Thanks to the unmistakable charm of his songs, his popularity soon transcends the borders of North America, giving him worldwide success. His extraordinary artistic journey in those years culminated with his groundbreaking rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
The screening on Saturday 15 will be at 9:30 p.m. and that of Sunday 16 at 5:30 p.m.

Widespread exhibition
On 3 February 1945, a group of volunteers gathered in front of the Teatro del Popolo to leave for the Gothic Line and liberate Italy from Nazifascism. Of this group of 119 men, as many as 73 were from Castelfiorentino.
On the 80th anniversary of the departure of the volunteers for the Liberation Struggle, Castelfiorentino hosts an exhibition with the images that immortalised those moments.
