Villa Garibaldi in Petrazzi opens extraordinarily to the public.
Sunday 19th September the owner welcomes us in a house that has preserved the atmosphere of the second half of the 800. But it is not an ordinary house. It is, in fact, the house where Tommaso Giannini, the original owner, hosted none other than Giuseppe Garibaldi during his historic visit to Castelfiorentino in August 1867, while the “hero of two worlds” was preparing for an expedition against the Papal States. An expedition destined to be wrecked in Mentana a few months later, in front of the modern French “chassepot” rifles.
On the occasion of the opening there will be guided tours in small groups inside the Villa, to allow everyone to better admire this unique residence.
Following the guided tour, Michele Neri will delight us with some Tuscan stories, perfect for everyone!
