Cinema, Theater and Tombola under the stars. And Wednesday evening “sales by night” with open stores in the historic center of Castelfiorentino. The events organized at the Summer Arena (via XX Settembre) by the Trivia APS association, in collaboration with the Fondazione Teatro del Popolo and the patronage of the City Council, continue this week.
On Tuesday, July 5 (9:30 p.m.), Cinema Monicelli is showing “West Side Story” directed by Steven Spielberg. The story of Romeo and Juliet set in a modern metropolis divided by racism and prejudice, and featuring in the background two gangs fighting for control of the territory. A love story hindered by being part of the two opposing factions.
On Wednesday, July 6, appointment with “Theater Outside the Theater” and the children’s show “The Emphasis on A.” Fairy tales, short stories and nursery rhymes by Gianni Rodari told, set to music and sung by the Matuta Teatro company. Simultaneously, also on Wednesday evening, “Castello Summer” kicks off with “Sales by Night”: an evening of shopping that will be accompanied by aperitifs and music in the streets of the city center (with DJ sets) and outdoor dinners organized by local restaurateurs. A kiosk will be set up in Gramsci Square where craft beer will be served, and there will also be a fitness exhibition and presentation of some courses organized by a local gym.
On Thursday, July 7, a classic for all fans of the genre: the “Tombola,” which will not fail to reserve generous prizes and some “biting” jokes matched to the numbers drawn.
On Saturday, July 9, a new moonlight movie proposal: “Freaks out,” the story of four friends (Matilde, Cencio, Fulvio and Mario) who work in a Circus run by Israel. A story set in Rome in 1943, occupied by the Germans during World War II, a place from which they will try to escape.
