The creativity of the new generations at the service of a project that aims to raise awareness of the value of “giving”, in particular the choice to donate blood. This is the objective of “Cartoon School”, a project promoted and financed by Avis Castelfiorentino in collaboration with the Tuscan regional Avis, thanks to which the pupils of the Istituto Comprensivo have created a cartoon entitled “The Mystery of Abyssolandia”, which will be presented on Monday 5 May (5.00 p.m.) at the Ridotto of the Teatro del Popolo.
Claudia Firenze (President of Avis Toscana), Silvia Zannelli (President of Avis Comune Castelfiorentino), Salvatore Picerno (Headmaster of the Istituto Comprensivo di Castelfiorentino), Francesca Giannì (Mayor of Castelfiorentino), Marta Longaresi (Councillor for Schools of the Municipality of Castelfiorentino), Mirko Fabbreschi (musician, creator and teacher of Cartoon School) will take part in the event.
‘This is a project of great value for our school,’ observes Marta Longaresi, Councillor for Education of the Municipality of Castelfiorentino, “which not only offers the possibility of a quality interactive workshop, but also represents an important moment to introduce children to the value of “gift” and of caring for what surrounds us, starting with the most fragile.
The cartoon was developed by the pupils of classes 1B and 1E of the Istituto Comprensivo (“Bacci-Ridolfi”), starting from the drawings to the musical effects, voices, etc., coordinated by Mirko Fabbreschi. The presentation will be preceded by the projection of a back stage video with interventions by the students and teachers.
All residents are invited to attend, especially the families of the children who realised this project.
