Lights, colors and magic shows: from Friday evening the In/Canti Summer Festival kicks off.
From Friday 9th to Sunday 11th July illusionism, comedy, transformism, but also games of lights and colors (free entrance, reservation recommended). Stores open on Friday evening.
A whirlwind of lights, colors, special effects that will give a more suggestive atmosphere to the shows of illusionism, comedy, transformism. Starting tonight, the video installations of “In/Canti d’Estate “, the “Open Air” Magic Festival (this year in a reduced edition, in compliance with anti-commercial regulations) scheduled in the historical center of Castelfiorentino (FI) from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 July.
Scattered near the most significant places in the center (churches, palaces, squares, etc.) the video installations have as their theme “The magic of nature” and will be the traveling background along with the works of Antonio Massarutto to the shows that will take place from Friday evening, all with free admission (limited seats, reservations highly recommended on www.terzostudio.it or on site until exhaustion).
From Friday, July 9th, in conjunction with the extraordinary opening of the stores (from 21.00 to 23.30) there will be the opportunity to attend the performances of magicians, illusionists, clowns and bizarre characters, who during the three days of the festival will alternate with their “numbers”, granting the inevitable encore (in fact, replicas are planned).
It starts on Friday, when in Piazza delle Stanze Operaie from 19.00 (replication at 21.00) is scheduled “Woow”, a surreal comedy show. The protagonists are two apparently bizarre clowns, aboard a fantastic vehicle (two headlights of a wasp, a handlebar, a moving treadmill) that have been travelling for who knows how long; then, in the garden of the former arena (at 9.30 pm and 10.40 pm) “High Level”, a show of transformation and illusionism on stilts, figure theater in which human or animal characters alternate (the fly, the jellyfish, the giraffe, the dancer, Aladdin). Also in Piazza delle Stanze Operaie (10.10 pm and 11.10 pm) “Stravagarte”, a street variety show where visual comedy and many other surprises will follow one another in a frenetic and engaging rhythm, leaving young and old alike speechless. A work that explores the boundaries of figure theater, where the protagonists will be apparently animated forms such as soap bubbles (first small, then large and gradually giant). At the Cassero della Pieve (22.15 and 23.15) a one man show of great visual impact will be the protagonist of “Incanto”. Mattia Boschi (young Florentine illusionist) will give life to a performance on the edge of the impossible.
“In/Canti d’Estate ” will return to the scene with new performances on Saturday evening (July 10) and Sunday afternoon (July 11) with a show curated by TeatroCastello and produced with the participation of TeatroCastello, Passi di Luce, GAT Teatro, dance company of the Academy of Certaldo and the Municipal School of Music of Castelfiorentino Orpheus (info and reservations +39 349 6305037).
