With “Sorvegliato speciale”, a brilliant comedy full of misunderstandings and plot twists, “Teatro al Bastione” kicks off on Wednesday 19 June. This mini open-air theatre event in front of the Circolo “Il Bastione” (via Verdi) includes two shows – also on Wednesdays (9:15 pm) – organised by the GAT theatre cultural association.
Promoted by the Circolo ‘Il Bastione’ with the patronage of the Municipality of Castelfiorentino, the mini-event will see on Wednesday evening on stage the actors of Gat give life to a show centred on three female figures, Nunzia and Fabiola (sisters), and Carla. A life for the first two women dominated by routine and misunderstandings, but also by the tendency to overcome their own problems by putting themselves in those of others. Played by Martina Ercoli, Tosca Pannocchi and Cristina Mazzone (directed by Enrica Fioravanti), a “special guardian” and some unmentionable secrets soon emerge from the relational dynamics.
On Wednesday, 3 July, the second date with the show “Guess who faints at dinner? Or rather: the penguin theory”, again by the GAT actors. Set during a dinner party, which is organised in an attempt to make up for the impossible and get the better of the ideology of a typical bigoted family, the plot speaks to us with an open heart and a pinch of irony about fears, expectations and hopes. The show is interpreted by Romina Catoni, Catia Carriero, Giuseppe Marazia, Alessio Burchi and Federico Franchi, directed by Nicola Pannocchi.
