In February 1944, the steamer Oria loaded with 4000 plus Italian soldiers destined for the concentration camps in Germany after refusing to join the Republic of Salò, sank shipwrecked on the Aegean coast. Only a handful of men are saved.

Actor Andrea Giuntini gives voice to the monologue by Florentine writer Paolo Ciampi, recounting the tragic stages of the voyage, the guilty silences that fell on the affair for decades, the desire to make
resurface from oblivion the memory of the worst naval disaster in the history of the Mediterranean.
