Three men confined within the walls of a room desperately seek a way out, while a mysterious entity keeps them alive by putting them to the test. A situation that becomes almost a mystical experience for them, capable of catapulting the viewer into a heart-pounding atmosphere. This is the calling card of the show “Tre per uno”, a one-act play staged by the “Gli Avanzati” theater company of Lucca, which on Thursday, July 31, at 9:15 p.m., will conclude the theater festival “L’Ora d’Aria” at the former Arena gardens (Via XX Settembre, free admission).
The protagonists, as we said, are three men, each with their own life and seemingly conflicting goals, who seek to find a positive outcome to a complicated situation, not so much earthly as spiritual. Meanwhile, a mysterious being appears from time to time, testing them in the face of their emblematic existence, in which each of them is forced to question their own ideologies. In this situation, the characters will gradually be led to make a choice.
The show will engage the audience by bombarding them with questions that will not be answered immediately, unless the viewer is willing to dig deep within themselves to find the answers and understand the best choice to make in order to live peacefully… or survive, depending on your point of view.
Performed by Federico Pucci, Eugenio Gaglio, Chiara Maccioni, and Lorenzo Bonaccorsi (who also directed the show, in addition to being the author of this one-act play), the show “Tre per uno” also received a Critics’ Award at the 7th Festival degli Atti unici, Premio Antonio Orchi 2025 (Tolfa, Rome).
The “L’Ora d’Aria” festival is promoted by TeatroCastello based on an idea by Palo Puccini (actor and theater director who died prematurely in 2014) and is sponsored by the Municipality of Castelfiorentino.
