| Tuesday 20 August at 9:30 p.m. Cinema Mario Monicelli “Caracas” tells the story of Giordano Fonte, a Neapolitan writer who returned to Naples after several years of distance. The man walks through a city that swallows the individual and terrifies him, but at the same time fascinates him. With him is Caracas, a man who is close to converting to Islam. Giordano sings with his verses an impossible love, that between Caracas and Yasmina, as he enters a city where everyone hopes to never get lost or to find the right alley to save themselves. Friday 23 August at 4:30 p.m. Visit and tasting at the Castello di Oliveto Second appointment for a beautiful guided tour inside the Castello di Oliveto and then a tasting of wines produced by the company, accompanied by sweet and savoury products of the Tuscan tradition. The manor, dated 1424 and wanted by the noble Florentine family of Pucci, is today one of the most fascinating structures in our region, rich in culture and art, witness to famous events of the past as well as a place that has welcomed illustrious personalities, strongly rooted in the local history of the city of Castelfiorentino. Friday 23 August at 9:00 p.m The Cobweb Orchestra An orchestra of “amateur, friendly, open to the public and award-winning”, this is the calling card of the musical group that, for the ninth time, will return to perform in the city of Castelfiorentino. A multigenerational and multidisciplinary group open to all, from those who are new to musical instruments, to those who already have some experience behind them. The Cobweb Orchestra will perform inside the Monastery of Santa Maria della Marca, on notes by Bartok, Corelli, Dvorak, Elgar, Haydn, Jackson, Kirby, Smith. Admission is free. Little Alba has down syndrome and was abandoned in hospital immediately after birth and Luca is a single, catholic and gay man who always wanted to become a father. Sunday 25 August from 2:00 p.m. Cycling race Cycling race organized by ASD Valdelsa 2000 cycling in collaboration with the “Circolo Il Bastione” and the Municipality of Castelfiorentino. The meeting is at 10:00 a.m. at the “Circolo Il Bastione” while the start of the race is set at 2.00 p.m. from Via Cesare Battisti with arrival around 5:00 p.m. always in Via Cesare Battisti.
