for the Arts sees today the awarding of prizes

Peace re-enactment after Montaperti

A historical re-enactment that catapults
Castelfiorentino back in time to the year 1260,
when in Castelfiorentino Florence and Siena
signed a peace pact after the bloody clash at
Montaperti.
Three days of proposals for all ages:
readings, creative workshops, theatre,
falconry, tournaments in armour, reenactment of old trades, dances, market,
craftsmen, games of the past, historical
processions and …. fire!!!
Place: Upper and lower town centre and town
streets.

From Friday 6 October at 5:00 p.m.
Small carpentry school

A workshop journey to discover the world
through designing, making and building with
recycled materials. Inspired by Benozzo
Gozzoli’s Tabernacle of the Visitation, the
project is articulated between Florence and
Castelfiorentino, involving groups of children
who will make a wooden tabernacle from a
distance.
Meetings on Fridays from October to
November. Presentation of the work in
December.
For the public aged 6 to 11.
Free participation with compulsory online
registration.

Photographic exhibition organised by
animator Grazia Vecchio and the Giglio
Rosso photography group at the ‘Rsa
Neruda’.
A roundup of shots that, as the author Marco
Mangini points out, seek above all to “capture
the moment”, immortalising the moments
spent by the elderly at the Rsa in the
company of their families during visits, which
are a source of comfort for them. An
opportunity to crack a smile.

A diffuse exhibition featuring site-specific
installations created by the artist Davide
Dall’Osso. The main themes of this fourth
edition are “Reuse, Reduce, Recycle,
Cooperate”. The 80 sculptures in the
exhibition are located throughout the city, and
can be viewed both outdoors and at the
Municipal Library and the BeGo Museum. For
