The 5° edition of BeGo Academy, the Academy of Higher Musical Education for young artists (authors and performers) conceived by Maestro Diego Calvetti, concluded two days ago. Its aim is to develop new talent through a virtuous connection with professionals in the Italian music world.
Nineteen participants attended this edition, which presented itself in a revamped format (with two venues: the Teatro del Popolo in Castelfiorentino and the Platinum Studio in San Gimignano) to combine moments of creative workshop, music production, masterclasses, and live auditions.
Guests include Marco Masini (a regular at the Academy), Cristiano Malgioglio and Tomasi, the latter a young talent discovered at the Be.Go Academy.
The BE.GO. Music Academy awarded the scholarships to participants deemed most interesting by the teachers, eligible for use in musical instruments and/or activities related to music production.

“This year too – underlines the Mayor, Francesca Giannì – Be.Go. Academy has confirmed itself as a valuable mix of talent, magic, opportunity, emotion. The nineteen young people selected from all over Italy (and some from Castelfiorentino, the very talented and out of competition for me Manuel “Manuè” Siragusa and Sara Zagaria) were able to attend the lessons and workers at Platinum Records, refine their unreleased songs, meet the professionals of the record companies and radio stations, perform in the two event evenings at the Theatre. The Academy confirms Castelfiorentino’s role as a House of Artists, capable of hosting the aspirations and energies of the world of culture. A heartfelt thanks to Giulia Guerrieri and Giorgia Calvetti, an expression of the commitment that the Castellani can put at the service of the valorization of the City, and to Diego Calvetti, who with ironic sweetness takes these boys and their dreams by the hand”.
