In the historical centre of Castelfiorentino, “Cambio” was born, a newly conceived cultural centre that opens up to the arts, creating synergies and opportunities for encounters. This ambitious project, strongly desired to celebrate the 140th anniversary of the Cambiano Bank and Organisation, has seen the restoration of spaces that once housed a cinema, transformed into a lively cultural centre dedicated to the city of Castelfiorentino and the surrounding area.

CAMBIO – Cultural centre” gives back to the city the nineteenth-century building overlooking Corso Matteotti, which remained unused for a long time after having hosted the Cinema Puccini: two thousand square metres, divided on four floors that from Tuesday to Sunday will welcome visitors with a wide and quality cultural offer, proposing itself as a multifunctional centre. A project that already from its name invites to a dynamic vision of knowledge, between past and future, between contaminations and experimentations.

The first floor will welcome visitors with an exhibition of international scope: “Banksy. Nascita di un mito”, produced by Opera Laboratori and curated by Stefano Antonelli and Gianluca Marziani.

On the second floor, a 400-square-metre hall preserves and exhibits a selection of 46 works from the Banca Cambiano 1884 Art Collection: a fascinating journey among masterpieces, from the 13th century to the present day, from Tuscany and elsewhere, gold backgrounds and bas-reliefs, majolica and ceramics, paintings and sculptures.

On the third floor, the “Corale” restaurant led by Japanese chef Takuya Sato is open for lunch and dinner five days a week, with a tasting menu and an à la carte menu. Together with the cocktail bar on the panoramic terrace and the “Caffè del Teatro”, Corale is the brainchild of Simone Cipriani, chef of the Florentine restaurant “Essenziale”.
