The announcement has been published. Applications are due by October 26.

Opportunity to display items for free on wooden stalls provided and maintained at the municipality’s expense

on both Saturdays and Sundays (afternoons, as well as on holidays) from November 28 to December 20

Christmas Market: A notice has been posted on the Castelfiorentino City website at the following link: https://www.comune.castelfiorentino.fi.it/mercatini-di-natale-2026, a special notice so that any interested vendors can participate free of charge in the market in Piazza Gramsci, which will feature wooden stalls on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, as well as on holidays, starting from the first weekend before Christmas (November 28–29) through December 19–20, 2026.

The dates have been set as follows: Saturday, November 28, and Sunday, November 29; Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6; Tuesday, December 8; Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13; and Saturday, December 19, and Sunday, December 20, always from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (additional time slots may be arranged with the City).

The City has provided sixteen wooden booths, each equipped with an awning, an electrical outlet, and lighting. To ensure uniformity in the setup, exhibitors are not permitted to use their own structures (such as gazebos), but must exclusively use the aforementioned wooden booths (assembled by the City and available while supplies last), which must be decorated by the exhibitors with Christmas-themed decorations. Should the number of applications exceed the number of available stalls, the organizers reserve the right, on an exceptional basis, to accept those who are able to set up their own stalls and lighting, provided they comply with the guidelines to be issued by the organizers.

All product categories are eligible to participate, including food, non-food items, and food served on-site, whether industrially produced or artisanal.

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, October 26. This call for applications will remain open even after the deadline if, by that date, the number of expressions of interest received is fewer than the number of available spots. If the number of applications received exceeds the number of available spots, a ranking list will be drawn up, taking into account certain criteria such as the balance among relevant product sectors, the balance among participant categories (entrepreneurs, associations, non-professionals), the characteristics of the products proposed, their relevance to the Christmas theme, and the exhibitors’ location within the Municipality of Castelfiorentino. In order to encourage participation in the initiative and accommodate all expressions of interest, the Administration reserves the right to divide interested parties into two groups, based on the option selected on the application form: the first two weekends (including December 8) and the second two weekends.

Applications must be submitted by sending the duly completed form (downloadable from the municipal website at the link provided above) to the Municipality via one of the following methods:

certified email (comune.castelfiorentino@postacert.toscana.it), email (urp@comune.castelfiorentino.fi.it), or in person at the Municipality’s Protocol Office, located at Piazza del Popolo No. 1 in Castelfiorentino.
