Saturday, 20 December (10:30 a.m.) inauguration inside the Event Space (Corso Matteotti) of the Christmas decoration market promoted by the Senza Barriere Odv Association.
They have worked hard – and with rather tight deadlines – on meticulous craftsmanship to cut, paint and assemble countless Christmas objects and decorations: with flair, imagination and infinite patience. Now, they are excited to present their little masterpieces to the public.
Everything is ready for the inauguration of the Christmas exhibition-market organised by the “Senza Barriere Odv” Association, which will take place on Saturday 20 December 2025, at 10.30 a.m., in the historic centre of Castelfiorentino, inside the event space at Corso Matteotti 19 (Circolo Ricreativo e Culturale “Il Progresso”). In addition to the parents and families of “Senza Barriere”, the Mayor, Francesca Giannì, and the Councillor for Social Policies, Federica Parisi, will also be present at the inauguration.
The exhibition-market, which is sponsored by the Municipality of Castelfiorentino, will feature dozens of unique Christmas creations and decorations (from wood to ceramics to paper) made by the young people and staff of “La Ginestra”, which visitors can purchase in the knowledge that their purchase will bring happiness not only to the recipients but also to those who made them with their own hands.
‘Despite the closure of the La Ginestra Centre for almost a month and a half due to maintenance work,’ notes Lucia Succi, president of the Senza Barriere Odv Association, “the young people and staff at the Centre have produced a great many high-quality items and decorations, and we are therefore very satisfied. We therefore hope to repeat the success of previous years, trusting in the affection and sympathy that the local population has always shown us. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the municipal administration for its patronage and the association “Il Progresso” for once again providing us with space in one of the most visible areas of the city centre.”
“I invite all citizens,” emphasises Federica Parisi, Councillor for Social Policies, “to visit this beautiful exhibition-market, where you can browse through many quality items and decorations, and perhaps make a purchase to make the Christmas atmosphere at home more beautiful and evocative, or reserve a small gift for friends, family and relatives. I believe that giving a gift of this kind is not only gratifying for those who have dedicated their efforts to creating these items, but is also good for ourselves, for our hearts, and is ultimately a way to immerse ourselves in the most authentic spirit of Christmas.”
The exhibition will remain open until 31 December (and, exceptionally, also on Saturday 3 January) with the following opening hours: 10.30am-12.30pm, 4.30pm-7.30pm. Closed on 25 and 26 December.
