The book presentation will take place on Friday, April 10 (at 5:00 p.m.) at the “Vallesiana” Municipal Library.
A wealthy family robbed in their own villa. Cemeteries desecrated by a gang of ruthless criminals. A woman murdered for no apparent reason: three incidents that, at first glance, seem to have no connection—and which, for this very reason, will put Commissioner Tagliavini’s investigative skills to the test. This is the gripping plot of Enzo Linari’s new crime novel, titled “In Nero Veritas,” which will be presented at the Fondo Antico of the “Vallesiana” Municipal Library in Castelfiorentino on Friday, April 10, at 5:00 p.m.
Set in the small town of Vetus, grappling with a stifling summer heat that lingers well into early autumn, the story quickly unfolds as a rather thorny investigation for the protagonist—a police officer with years of experience and a keen investigative instinct, yet constantly plagued by doubts, uncertainties, and dark premonitions. A noir novel with a thoroughly unexpected ending.
Enzo Linari, who has long been dedicated to comic book criticism and the social use of comics, has numerous publications to his credit, including several detective stories. He also created and curates the website “Mystery di Toscana,” dedicated to crime and noir fiction set in the region.
In addition to the author, the presentation of the book will feature the Councilor for Culture, Franco Spina, and Fabio Dei.
“The presentation of this new ‘mystery thriller’ by Enzo Linari,” emphasizes the Councilor for Culture, Franco Spina, “is part of a broader range of initiatives we are organizing to best showcase our ‘Vallesiana’ library, with the goal of increasingly establishing it as a cultural space open to everyone—young people and adults alike—for the promotion of public reading and in service of active citizenship.”
