The amateur theatre review “L’Ora d’Aria”, held in the evening after dinner in the ex-Arena gardens in Via XX Settembre, continues.

On Thursday 25 July (at 9.15 p.m.), the “Unicorno Company” from Vinci presents “Whose is the red Volvo?”, two one-act plays that have as their common denominator the question from which the title of the play is taken, and other aspects to be discovered. “Radio arcobaleno” is the title of the first one (played by Edoardo Bigazzi, Eleonora Cioni, Daniela Lacerra, Diletta Piromallo), in which the protagonists try to save the radio station where they work, and get it out of the crisis into which it has plunged.

The temptation to commit suicide is instead at the centre of “Terrazzo affollato” (starring Eugenia Rizzo, Eleonora Roccheggiani, Elia Salani, Mattia Scali) where four people find themselves on the same terrace determined to end it all. In an attempt to support each other, they let themselves go in confidences, investigating the causes that drove them to this extreme decision. And which, perhaps (or not?), will represent their salvation

Admission is free but an offer is welcome.

The review will then continue on Thursday 1 August with the Gruppo Amici del Teatro (GAT) di Castelnuovo d’Elsa, which will propose “Daylight Saving Time”, while TeatroCastello will present “Basalt the magician of Castello” on 8 August.

As you may recall, the “L’Ora d’Aria” review – which is promoted by TeatroCastello – was conceived by Paolo Puccini (who passed away in 2014) more than ten years ago, and owes its name to the place where it was held in its first editions, namely the “Ora d’aria” space of the former Castelfiorentino prison. The success in terms of participation then led the organisers to opt for a more suitable venue, with a larger capacity, but without forgetting the spirit of its founder.
