An evening dedicated to young people, but open to all citizens of Castelfiorentino. A comprehensive reflection on young people, with particular regard to the issues of social protection and active participation in community life. This is the theme of the initiative “Tracce. Reflections on young people in dialogue”, which will take place on Wednesday 17 December (6:00 p.m.) at the Ridotto del Teatro del Popolo, at the conclusion of the “City, community and care” project, co-funded by the Tuscany Region.
A project aimed at promoting the full usability of spaces in the urban centre, which in recent months has involved operators in engaging young people in the co-design of events (cultural, recreational, sporting) to be held in spaces and places now recognised by them as part of their identity, with the aim of building a relationship of trust based on active listening, respect for public heritage and urban decorum, social inclusion and improving the population’s perception of safety conditions.
“With this project”, observes Marta Longaresi, Councillor for Culture, Legality and Participation, “we have organised a series of micro-events through street education to create new opportunities for interaction, with the aim of preventing youth distress. We have done this above all by trying to build and experience spaces where we can rediscover the pleasure of being together”.
In addition to Councillor Longaresi, representatives of the associations that collaborated on the project will speak at Wednesday’s event: Coeso di Empoli, Associazione Cetra and Teatro C’Art. They will illustrate the results of the actions and experiences shared with the young people and formulate some proposals for the future, with a view to consolidating the relationships between the various actors involved in the various activities. The round table will be followed by an aperitif.
