An experiential tour to discover Castelfiorentino and the history of a city that in the past was significantly linked to ceramic work.
Evidence of this can be seen in the archaeological excavations that some twenty years ago brought to light numerous artefacts at the work area set up in the lower town centre, as well as many entrepreneurial realities of times gone by.
The tour will be led by tour guide Cristina Chelli, with a stop at Claudio Campana’s atelier; here it will be possible to take part in a 45-minute workshop together with the artist. Claudio Campana is known for his craftsmanship using the scagliola technique, a mix of tradition and modernity that distinguishes his works.
At the end of the activity, participants will be taken to the nearby Su pe’ Costa wine shop for an aperitif with a gourmet touch, featuring local products accompanied by excellent wine from his own selection.
Booking is required and can be made at the Castelfiorentino Tourist Information Office.
