“One roar, one passion”. This is the by now tried and tested slogan of the “Città di Castelfiorentino” National Motorcycle Rally, in which dozens and dozens of enthusiasts from various regions of Italy will take part tomorrow and Sunday (6-7 April). They will make their presence felt throughout the city centre before taking the road that will lead them on a double tour along the Valdelsa hills.
Promoted by the Moto Club Castelfiorentino with the patronage of the local Municipality, the initiative is valid for the Tuscan Tourism Championship, and in addition to the prize-giving ceremony as per the IMF regulations, “special prizes” are envisaged, named after people who have made the history of the Castelfiorentino motorbike club: the “Omar Pietro Burroni” trophy (to the super-senior driver from the farthest region), the “Marcello Peruzzi” plaque (the 1st registered motorbike club) and the “Elena Bellini” trophy (the 1st registered woman driver).
The first start is scheduled for Saturday afternoon (approx. 5.45 p.m.), while the second on Sunday morning (11.15 a.m.).
“The rally promoted by our Motoclub is back in full swing,” observes Councillor Simone Bruchi, “and through some special prizes we do not fail to remember some people from Castelfiorentino who have always followed this event with commitment and constancy. It is an event that attracts dozens and dozens of enthusiasts every year and represents a further showcase to make our territory and the beauty of our hilly landscape known. My thanks go to Alfiero Stazzoni, who organises the event every year, along with all those who collaborate with him and all the sponsors who have contributed to this fine initiative once again this year”.
