A relay race on completely flat ground, between the Urban Park and the new Park of the Philosophers (green areas between Roosevelt Avenue and Via Profeti). And’ this is the business card of “URBAN PARK RUNNING” (16 year old trophy Giracastello”) competitive race played by teams of three athletes, which will take place Wednesday, June 12, with meeting of the participants at 07.00pm in the spaces in front of the headquarters of the Polisportiva I’Giglio (adjacent to the Municipal Stadium “Riccardo Neri”, viale Roosevelt). The departure is scheduled around 08.30pm. Promoted by Polisportiva I’Giglio in collaboration with Avis Castelfiorentino and the patronage of the City, the race develops along a circuit of 3 km and is presented as a relay race: each relay race will consist of three athletes (minimum 18 years)which may belong to different companies.. Each runner will have to go one lap of the course for a total of about 3 km. The timing chip (witness) will be delivered to the competitors of the first fraction at the starting area. The ranking will be based on the total time taken by the runners to complete the routes. The relay is competitive and will participate only athletes with a suitable competitive sports medical certificate.. Will be made available to participants changing rooms, storage bags and showers (in addition to the possibility of having a large parking lot). There are surveillance points on the route to ensure the success of the event and refreshment at the end of the race.. The prizes for the best times obtained by the relay will be based on the categories, awarded with the criterion of the overall age of the three athletes that make up each relay. A special prize will also be awarded to the “best fractionist” man and woman, while a participation prize will be awarded to all participants. Registration fee: € 15 per relay (within 00.00pm of June 11) or € 18 relay race on the day of the race (within 08.15pm), Registrations can be made either online on www.cronorun.it or the day of the race. The route consists essentially of the pedestrian/ cycle paths created within the two parks and it is important to note that this is the first sporting event that “connects the two Parks”.
