Raise your hand if, as a child, you experienced at least once the joy of setting up a small “stall” where you could try to sell magazines, figurines or toys that you no longer needed, savoring the thrill of your first “gain,” even a few pennies. Well, this opportunity will be offered directly by the merchants of the “Tre Piazze” Shopping Center in Castelfiorentino, who on Wednesday, July 9, will provide aspiring “baby sellers” with stalls where they can display and sell used figurines and toys, collectibles, and books.

This is one of the news features of the “Notte Rosa Castellana” which starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, will take place in the streets of the city center among aperitifs, food and musical entertainment, with the Cambio Cultural Center and stores open, in conjunction with the first week of the end-of-season “sales.” An evening promoted by the CCN “Tre Piazze” in collaboration with the Municipality of Castelfiorentino, the Cambio Cultural Center and the Cambio Foundation, which will feature a themed display of store windows (strictly in “pink”), enlivened by live music. Musical groups will be present in the streets and squares of the center: from Piazza Cavour to Piazza Gramsci, from Via Volontari del Sangue to Via Testaferrata. At the same time, children will precisely be able to experience the “Garage sale” to exchange or sell toys and other used items (to reserve the ‘stall’ please contact “Tato e Tata,” “Calzoleria Marzuoli,” “Retrò abbigliamento bijoux” or “The OZ baby kids”).

On this occasion, the “Cambio” Cultural Center will open extraordinarily from 8 to 11 p.m., allowing visitors to admire, in addition to the permanent exhibition (recently enriched by the “ceramics room” and the “Lelo Fratini” room) the temporary exhibition on “Abstractionism. A journey through time,” which recounts-through more than 60 works including paintings, ceramics and poly-material-the evolution of abstract art in Italy from after World War II to the 1980s.

“Notte Rosa Castellana” observes Deputy Mayor with responsibility for Commerce, Fabio Tinti, “is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Castelfiorentino: an evening that colors our natural shopping center with initiatives, shows, music and entertainment for all ages. An opportunity to experience the city together, while enhancing the activities of our commercial fabric. Special thanks go to the Tre Piazze CCN Association for the organization and passion it puts into events like this every year, to Ente Cambiano, Fondazione Cambiano and the Cambio Cultural Center for their valuable contributions and participation. And of course a heartfelt thanks to all the merchants who, with enthusiasm and creativity, make this evening of celebration, sharing and community possible.”

“The Garage Sale,” notes School Councillor Marta Longaresi, “also takes us back a bit to the good years of our childhood. After all, who hasn’t had a garage sale with friends and girlfriends when we were kids? Exchange, reuse, share and be together! That’s why we are waiting for you on Wednesday in the streets of downtown together with many boys and girls, who will be able to exchange or sell games or figurines!!!! A spectacular initiative of our merchants and we can’t miss it!”

The “Notte Rosa Castellana” will be repeated on Wednesday, July 30 with a new evening of musical entertainment and “unpacking.”
