From Sept. 6 to 17 in the sports area a rich program of concerts, performances and gatherings,
enhanced by numerous stands (“street food”) and a wide selection of craft beers. Free admission
And the countdown to one of the most anticipated events of the summer season has begun. From Wednesday, Sept. 6 to Sunday, Sept. 17, Castelfiorentino will host the 4th edition of the “Beer Festival” (Stadium area – Roosevelt Avenue), during which every evening you can enjoy a concert or an outdoor show (all with free admission), range between fried fish, barbecued meat and other specialties to enjoy on the fly, accompany your meal with a wide selection of craft beers, or even participate in the gatherings.
Organized by the Pro loco under the patronage of the Municipality of Castelfiorentino thanks to the contribution of the Regional Council and numerous sponsors, the Festival will raise the curtain starting Wednesday, September 6, from 6 p.m. onward thanks to the “food” area (open every evening until late at night), while the first musical event will be at 9:30 p.m. with “Killer Queen,” a tribute band of the legendary Queen that will not fail to retrace the major songs from their most famous albums.
In the area reserved for the “food” route, delicacies of all kinds will be available: from paella to “fried barnyard” (chicken and rabbit), from fried fish to barbecued meat; from sausages to porchetta. There will also be a vegetarian, vegan and gluten free stand, as well as desserts: crepes, Thai ice cream, doughnuts and so on. There will be a wide choice of craft beers, on tap or in cans, as befits the identity of the event, which has actually now taken on the appearance of a real “Festival.”
A confirmation of this is the packed program of concerts that will follow Wednesday’s. Thursday, Sept. 7, there will be the Love Gang, Friday 8 will be the turn of Metempsicosi, Saturday 9 the Mamamia (live show and music), Sunday 10 the Modena city ramblers, Monday 11 Dream Floyd (Pink Floyd tribute band), Tuesday 12 Galeffi (live music), Wednesday 13 the Combriccola del Blasco (Vasco Rossi tribute band), Thursday 14 the Gemelli diversi, Friday 15 the Ride Gorilla, and to follow Davide Bianucci’s Circo), Saturday 16 live show “Voglio tornare negli anni ’90.” Conclusion on Sunday, Sept. 17 with Finley, a pop punk band.
Finally, the exhibitions and rallies: from the “static” Vespa exhibition (Sept. 7) to the gathering of Fiat “Panda” enthusiasts (Sept. 9 and 10). From the gathering of the 500 Abarth (Sept. 13) to the gathering of tuning and sports cars (Sept. 16)
“We have arrived at the fourth edition,” stresses the mayor, Alessio Falorni, “and it is really a great satisfaction to see that this festival has registered growing attention and success every year despite the stop imposed by the covid. An event that attracts thousands of young people, but also many tourists who visit Tuscany in this period, when there are still significant numbers of presences in our territory and throughout the Empolese Valdelsa. For this I sincerely thank Emanuele, Enrico, Luca and Aziz, who together with the Proloco team have worked hard to make this festival richer and more and more participatory.”
